Council tax to be abolished

but only in Scotland

aye mate but its to be replaced by a 3p in the £1 income tax as well meaning me and the missus will pay substantially more than we do at the moment. as 3p per £1 out of our combined wages is nearly double than what we pay in council tax - why should I pay more for council services because of what I earn - its fairer to charge me based on where I choose to live!!!! President Salmond keeps going on about the current system being unfair to people that can't afford it... hello... newsflash, sell your f**king house and buy one you can afford to live in then! A**eholes!!

This is what happens when a party that cares only for the votes of the stupid, unemployed fcukwits that think they want independence vote them in. Unfortunately the category of "stupid unemployed fcukwits" is a strong majority of the population.

Hopefully Westminster will be able to do enough to sink the ship though, think they have the powers to stop President Salmond having his way.

The UK is just ridiculous when it comes to taxes now.

Most other countries are nowhere near when it comes to forking out.

In Bulgaria their council tax equivalent is about £30 a year for most people.

Income tax is 10% and VAT is 20%

The government still finds millions to steal each year so if they can do it why can't UK?
