Right guys, me takes my car in to VW for a steering rack to be done. Pick car up and it feels slow ( as ive had mods done to it ) anyway took it back to AMD today and check this out.
Guy tells me that they put a patch on to the ECU. They didn't refresh it just the patch to basically stop my car at any point at any time. What im going with is this:
1 they new my car has mods with the zaust and stuff
2 could not find anything on the ECU
3 thought they would piss me off, fcuk my ECU up so they can have my car 4 a hole day so that they could find that it had been modded
4 and say NO M0RE WARRANT WORK
AMD put the map back on but can't give it stick today coz it fcuking rain.
will not being going back to my loacl VW for work to be done.

Matey, did you sign to say they could do anything to your motor apart from the rack? If not, get back there and do you nut at them.
Warranty is only void if they can prove a link between the mod and the fault. So a refleshed ECU from AMD would only effect engine/drivetrain.

well just been out in the car and ffs it does not fell like my car before the steering rack fitting. Spoke with AMD and hes does not know whats up. Needs the car for a full day for a rolling road check.

Guys at AMD had my car for whole day, Only thing they could find was a kink in a pipe which ran off DV. Not sure how it got there. Dealers may have done it by accident or on purpose. Anyway they test drove car before replacing it and after and the car was down 20%on power form the kink in pipe. They refresh ECU with the new map so car has got to have time to bed in again. After two days car fills fast again but not there yet. Got it booked in on rolling road next friday so will post figures when i get them.
